Discount Codes Are Our Friends

Sorry about the horrible lack of posts lately. About to move so my mind is far far away from shopping. (I know! Egads!!!) Once I'm more settled in, I'll be in that happy shopping place again.

Thanks to my fashionista friend Annie for this!

Yet Another Post About Shoes

I can't help it. Whenever I see a site that I've never seen before that sells shoes, I always have to look. I read about Daniblack in Lucky Magazine and I thought their shoes were so cute with fun prints and little details that make them unique. Plus they're not super expensive and their sale selections are pretty good, as in, they don't only come in sizes 5 and 9.5.

Check it out:

AJ Flats $112

Bangs for your shoes!
Colgate Suede Fringe Pumps $85

Look like a hot Pilgrim in these.
Master Flats with Buckle $94.50

Vellum Satin Shoes $75

Soho Lab Has Cool Kicks

Sometimes I feel bummy and I just want to wear sneakers to work, but my running sneakers are too casual, even for shoots. I found the perfect solution! Soholab.com has sneakers that are so cool looking that it doesn't look bummy - just a little bit of punk and a little bit of that hipster downtown thing going on.

On my shopping list:

The last time I wore high tops was in JHS. I must start wearing them again.
Punkrose G-Funk Buffalo Sneaker $55

They named a shoe after me!!!
Punkrose Jess Sneaker $30

Love the mesh overlay.
Zoo York Mamba Skate Shoe $69

Can you get any punkier than skulls and roses?
Red by Marc Ecko Chalsie-Rock N Roses shoe $45

These can kind of pass as casual shoes and not sneakers.
Punkrose Dolly-Star slip on $20

Not too crazy about all the labels but love the colors.
Zoo York Honeywell Skate Shoe $65

Hmmm which one(s) to get? So many cute styles!

O Shopping, I Have Not Foresaken Thee!

Okay, I haven't posted in a week, but I have been busy with work and getting sick. But that does not mean that I have forgotten about my favorite pastime, nor have I ignored the sale notices in my inbox. No, Shopping, between going to shoots, working on my new website, and drinking tons of tea to get rid of my cold, you have always been on the forefront of my mind. No matter where I am, I know that you are just a mouse click away, and that has been my only solace through this rough patch. So here is my post, to honor you, O Shopping. I hope you find these sales worthy.

Yoox is a cool site. They sell things at a discount and they tell you what sizes are available before you have to click on an item. You know I love me some easy shopping! They have tons and tons of stuff so it's best to browse their site during work hours, because you know, who works at work anyway? And the plus side is, you can choose by size, color, designer, and category!

I love blazers cuz they're so versatile. You can dress them up or down, wear them with pants, skirts, dresses, jeans, and even shorts. Even skorts! Like this Max Mara taffeta blazer $185:

Love how the cut is classic but the print is so exotic.
Kookai blazer $131

You can hide your hickies with the scarf-tie collar.
Lutz $235

From their vintage section: Christian Dior blazer from the 80s!!! $655

Laila Rowe has some really cute accessories for great prices, like this thermal bomber for only $5!!!

Wool Cadet Hat $3.75

People will be lining up to stand under your umbrella with this:
Dome Umbrella $25

Couture Candy is having a sale up to 50% off sale items and up to 70% off clearance items, PLUS $50 off on orders over $175 with code FEB50.

Go go go!

Betsey Johnson Is Patriotic

Our favorite cartwheeling kooky designer is having a sale to celebrate the birthdays of our forefathers. Yes, you CAN save 50% on dressed + an extra 25% off any order when you add PRES2009 at checkout. Uncle Sam needs YOU to spend your hard earned money to get this dang economy back on its feet! (Okay I totally failed economics in high school but whatever, I believe shopping is the cure for everything, even recession).

I like this because you can either dress it up or down with accessories, shoes, outwear, etc.
Solid Stretch Charmeuse Strapless Sheath Dress with Ruffle
$157.50

LBD's are a staple. Kind of like food or Jake Gyllenhaal.
Velvet w/ Pleated Crepe Back Satin Strapless Dress $185

Love these ruffles on the booby part.
Crinkle Chiffon Halter Dress w/ Ruffles
$165

For when your lipgloss explodes all over your old makeup bag. You know you've been there.
Street Chic Large Cosmetic Bag $15

Look cute for your paper route.

Accessories Rock

When I came upon Rough Roses, I was skeptical. I was expecting biker chick stuff a la Ed Hardy but their stuff is really pretty in a hip, laid back downtown kinda way. It's not too expensive either, meaning you're not going to pay $1500 for a bag. Not even close! Plus everything on their site is 40% off if you type in "luxeclubrr" at checkout.

I would buy all of these if I were rich:
Jewel Satchel $375 ($225 with discount. There I did the math for you. You happy?! Go get a calculator you lazy math bum!)

I love the word hobo! It makes me think of a grizzled old man in patchwork pants carrying around his worldy goods in a handkerchief tied to a stick. However, it can also be referred to a bag.
Jewel Hobo $325 ($195 with discount)

If the girl from 90210 has one, then you know it's in!
Roxy Tote $375 ($225 with discount)

Try stealing my bag now you... bag stealer!!!
Claire Shoulder Bag $375 ($225 w/d)

This will make any boring sweater pretty:
2.5 waist belt w/triple connectors and nail head $110 ($66 with discount)

This has an equestrian feel to it.
.5" Burnished Edge Leather Belt W/Nail Head Studs $55 ($33 with discount!!!)

A little bit o rock n roll:
2.5" Multi Studded Belt $105 ($63 w/d)

Lord and Taylor has some really pretty jewelry in their clearance sale section:

Things I would break my piggy bank for:
Lauren Ralph Lauren Multi-Disc Bib Necklace $31.19

Carolee Jet Beaded Necklace $21.99

Catherine Stein Bangle $23.99

Happy shopping!

Just When You Think You've Seen Everything

I was browsing Overstock.com after a friend on Facebook posted this pillow:
It's perfect! It doesn't snore or hog up all the blankets.
Hug Me Pillow $29.99

Some other kooky stuff:

This also doubles as a voodoo doll:
The Ex 5-Piece Knife Set $62.99

Because you do crap at work anyway:
Desktop Butt Station Assistant Organizer $21.99

Sometimes cliches are there for a reason.
The Billary Clinton Kitchen Tool Combo Set $49.99

I'm sure there's lots more. If you know of any kooky stuff out there, please share! We love kooky stuff!
